Separately, the board appointed Commissioner Fagle to attend a mediation session in an employment-related lawsuit involving a former county employee. County counsel and staff said they would also attend the mediation, which the county noted is part of the insurer/claims process; the hearing date was later clarified on the record as Feb. 27, with counsel advising the appointed commissioner to arrive prepared and meet in advance with county attorneys.
