Senator Chavez moved and the committee adopted Amendment 891 to House Bill 27, which changes the name and sponsoring organization of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation specialty license plate to the BreakthroughT1D license plate and authorizes the Registrar of Motor Vehicles to transfer past and future contributions to BreakthroughT1D.
After adoption of the amendment, Senator Chavez moved to favorably report House Bill 27 to the committee on rules and reference. The clerk called the roll and the senators present voted to move the bill forward: Chairman Schafer — yes; Ranking Member Antonio — yes; Senator Chavez — yes; Senator Reineke — yes; Senator Timken — yes. The committee chair said the roll would remain open until 5 p.m. for additional members who were checked in but unavailable at that moment.
The amendment and the motion to favorably report were adopted; the committee took no further testimony on the amended bill at the hearing.
Action on the bill was procedural: the committee amended the bill as described and forwarded it to rules and reference.
