Commissioners approve Branch Hollow replat, records preservation plan and promotions; several consent items held

Replat: The court held a public hearing and approved a replat request from S2 Land Development Company to subdivide Lot 2 of Branch Hollow Estates into two lots. Director of Engineering Dougherty presented the replat and said it "generally satisfies our regulations" and that notices were provided to potentially affected neighbors. No members of the public spoke at the hearing. The court moved and seconded approval and the court announced the motion carried.
County Clerk preservation plan: Collin County Clerk Kemp presented the county’s annual records preservation plan. Kemp said the office recently completed a preservation project that cleaned, repaired and digitally imaged criminal case files dating from 1893 to 1950 and plans next year to preserve property records from 1901 to 1966 and place them in "heritage binders." The court held a public hearing with no public speakers and then approved the plan.
Promotions: The court approved several personnel promotions presented on the consent agenda. Commissioner Hale congratulated the employees by name and moved approval. Approved promotions included Angela Morrow, Eric Reed, Joel Thornton, Casey Merley and Maria Pitchford.
Consent agenda and holds: The court opened its consent agenda and approved the majority of consent items by a single vote while holding items 1D2 and I2 for future consideration. Later in the meeting the court’s Health Care Foundation convened and approved the remainder of its consent agenda while holding two items (1B and 1C).
The court’s recorded comments emphasized that held items would return on a future docket for additional review. Specific roll-call vote counts were not read into the public transcript for the replat or preservation plan motions; the court announced motions carried.
