The North Allegheny School Board on June 11 approved nine student-services agreements and received four information-only items related to student placements and services.
Approved agreements included extended-school-year and enrollment agreements with McGuire Memorial and Longmore Academy (MHY Family Services), services agreements with Glade Run Lutheran Services and Learn Well Services, an autism addendum for Presley Ridge Day School, a leader services agreement, the K–12 school guidance plan, Maguire Memorial agreement and a Maxim Healthcare Services agreement. The board also noted information-only items including a statement of work update for Kaplan SAT prep, extended school year information for Watson 2025, day-school placement information, and student-teacher placement requests.
Why it matters: These agreements cover special education placements, counseling and related services that support students with complex needs and ensure access to required services.
Discussion: A board member summarized that the updated K–12 counseling plan reflects changes from a February counseling report and now includes a new mission statement, updated caseload numbers and new goals. The student-services items passed unanimously.
Follow-up: The district will execute vendor agreements and coordinate placements and services for the upcoming school year.
