County accepts $617,000 Montana Aeronautics grant for airport project

Broadwater County commissioners approved a grant agreement with the Montana Department of Transportation, Aeronautics Division, for $617,000 to support ongoing airport projects.
Commissioners said the airport board and RPA (engineers, including Lance Bowser) handle much of the paperwork for the multi-project effort. County staff said the grant funds will come to the county and pay project invoices; the county will then disburse funds to pay project expenses.
County attorney Kevin Bratcher reviewed the grant agreement and raised no questions. The board moved, seconded and approved the grant agreement by voice vote. The agreement requires signatures from the commissioners and the county attorney before it is returned to MDT for processing.
