The board voted to approve immunization program task order number 26074311030 between Montana DPHHS and Broadwater County for fiscal year 2026 in the amount of $5,153. Ruby Taylor, Broadwater County public health director, told the commission the contract “is just our regular immunization contract” and that the amount is “significantly lower than it was last year” because last year included leftover COVID funding.
Taylor later presented a task-order amendment for immunization services that adjusts funding for the current fiscal year. She said the county’s allocation is being reduced from $45,472 to $39,131 and that the change would not materially affect staffing but would alter a planned equipment purchase: “I was going to update our medication freezer and refrigerator. But since this has been dropped, I don’t think I’m going to do that this year because I think that I budgeted the rest of it towards wages.”
Commissioners asked no substantive questions on either item. Both the initial task order and the amendment were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with no public comment recorded.
The task orders are DocuSign documents, Taylor said, and she will email the Montana DPHHS contract coordinator to complete signature steps.
Clarifying details recorded at the meeting include the two distinct dollar amounts presented by Taylor — $5,153 for the FY26 task order and a reduction from $45,472 to $39,131 for the current federal/fiscal year — and the stated county budgeting priority for wages over an equipment upgrade.
The approvals were procedural votes; the board did not attach additional conditions or require further documentation before signing the DocuSign agreements.
