Training and service updates: the sheriff's office said three deputies attended rural patrol and street-drug response training at Camp Dodge (National Guard facility) in Iowa at no cost beyond meals and fuel; another deputy is now certified as an OC (oleoresin capsicum) instructor and can train other deputies in pepper spray certification.
