Dan Fellan, Pitkin County jail division chief, said a recent state budget communication had reduced the county's anticipated award to $178,000 from the original $183,000, but the state subsequently confirmed the original amount would be restored. Fellan asked the board to amend the resolution language to reflect the restored amount of $183,000.
Commissioner Greg Poshman moved and Commissioner Jeffrey Woodruff seconded a motion to reconsider the earlier approval; the board voted to reconsider and then voted to approve the resolution with the amended amount. The board reopened the matter and approved the resolution reflecting the $183,000 award.
Staff said the amendment will be documented as exhibit A to the county's contract file and that the county's contract administrator would submit the updated forms and budget to reflect the restored award. Commissioners thanked jail staff for the follow‑up. No public comment was received during the reconsideration process.
The amendment will be processed administratively and recorded in the county's grant and contracts records; Fellan said he would send the updated form to commissioners and staff after the meeting.
