Commissioners approve consent agenda, grant agreements and maintenance bid requests

St. Francois County commissioners approved the consent agenda and voted to accept several agreements and bid requests during a regular meeting, the commission said.

The approvals included a local resolution to participate in a federal/state grant program described in the meeting as the "Blue Shield" program, an agreement to serve as a subrecipient for the Mineral Area Drug Task Force's grant for two officers (referred to in the meeting as the Edward Byrne Memorial grant), acceptance of an equitable-sharing participation agreement, and authorization to solicit bids for flooring and door repairs in county offices. Separately, the commission agreed to take a proposed second phase of a trail project under advisement while the county completes an environmental review and awaits U.S. Department of Transportation review.
