District recommends new world-language materials; staff proposes $92,451.16 purchase for high school Spanish programs

Guzman told the committee that current classroom materials date from 2012 and are out of print. She presented a proposed high-school purchase total of $92,451.16 and said the district is considering new state world-language regulations for 2025 as it selects materials. Guzman said both teachers and students piloted the chosen materials for six weeks to collect feedback on assessments, exam preparation and coverage of the four language domains (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
