The Select Board on Wednesday ratified three appointments put forward by the town administrator.

Joseph Hsu: The board ratified the appointment of Joseph Hsu as building commissioner, effective Jan. 6, 2025. The town administrator said Hsu holds a bachelor's degree in building construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology, has more than 28 years in construction, 12 years in municipal inspections and more than four years as a building commissioner in Massachusetts. Hsu was present and said, "It's a pleasure. I look forward to serving" in Millis.

Peter Tartikoff: The board ratified the appointment of Peter Tartikoff as an on-call local building inspector. The position is per-inspection, intended to provide temporary coverage or emergency inspection services; the town administrator said the rate is $40 per inspection.

Alyssa Frieden: The board ratified the appointment of Alyssa Frieden as the library collections manager pending a successful physical. The town administrator said the library director recommended Frieden and described her as qualified for the post.

All three motions were moved, seconded and approved by unanimous vote.
