Council heard that Moscow completed three annexations in 2024: the Pine View subdivision (annexed May 6, 2024; 22.98 acres), the Wild Rose Court subdivision (annexed May 6, 2024; 2.53 acres) and the South Moscow Business District (SoMa) (annexed Oct. 7, 2024; 51.53 acres). The combined acreage added during 2024 totals about 77 acres.
Staff recommended adopting the ordinance under suspension of the rules requiring three separate readings so it could be read by title and published by summary. A council member moved to approve the ordinance under suspension of the rules; the motion was seconded. The council voted unanimously in favor; council members recorded “aye” votes.
Ordinance text read into the record described the amendment to Ordinance No. 2024-03 to establish and declare the updated corporate limits of the city under the laws of the State of Idaho, provided for repeal of conflicting ordinances, and set an effective date following passage, approval and publication.
Action taken: • Ordinance No. 2024-21 adopted to reflect 2024 annexations (approved under suspension of three readings).
