Representative Matthew (spoke as sponsor) said the bill would “give Ohio's JROTC students and schools the same access to federal resources as their peers in high quality career tech programs.” Representative Ritter, joint sponsor, added that the bill would amend the Ohio Revised Code to allow a district's JROTC program to be designated as part of its CTE offerings and urged the committee to consider the program’s “discipline, leadership, and hands on skill building.”
