Evansville MPO to open 45-day public comment on updated participation plan July 21–Sept. 4

Pam (staff member) told the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Committee that the MPO will post an updated participation plan for public comment, opening a 45‑day comment period from July 21 through Sept. 4.
Pam said the participation plan is the MPO’s policy document for outreach and public involvement in transportation planning and is typically updated every four to five years. The goals listed in the draft are to improve opportunities for involvement and consultation, improve access to the planning process and encourage participation that reflects community needs.
A draft will be available at the MPO office during business hours and online; staff will send committee members a link when the draft is posted. Pam said the committee will be asked to take action on the plan at the Sept. 11 meeting.
