The Urban Redevelopment Agency (URA) of Forest Park unanimously approved its FY2025–26 operating budget, authorized a $435,400 transfer tied to an Envio Block condemnation, and voted to grant Georgia Power a distribution‑line easement for a parcel at Fort Gillum.
The board voted to adopt the FY2025–26 operating budget with adjustments to the Anvil Block road improvements, infrastructure road widening, and capital outlay. Board members Elliot Lawrence and Avery Wilson recorded the motion and second on the budget vote; the board chair called for the vote and it passed unanimously. No roll‑call dissent was recorded.
The board also moved to authorize and ratify the transfer of $435,400 “to Forest Park from Envio Block condemnation.” The motion was moved and seconded by Avery Wilson and Elliot Lawrence and passed unanimously.
Finally, the board approved a Georgia Power distribution easement for a Fort Gillum parcel so Georgia Power can relocate several poles in anticipation of future construction on the adjacent URA‑owned parcel. The motion to approve the easement was made by Deborah Patrick and seconded by Avery Wilson; the vote was unanimous.
Board members did not attach conditions to the budget vote at the meeting. Director Wiggins and URA staff indicated some line‑item cleanups and year‑end journal entries will be completed as part of the fiscal close and audit process.
