Dawn Brooks of AMR presented January call and transport totals for Linn County and asked commissioners about the contract renewal process. Brooks said AMR handled 24 calls and 59 transports in January across multiple service areas and that the current contract expires Jan. 1, 2026.
Brooks asked whether the county planned to issue a request for proposals or would negotiate directly. Commissioners said the county had not recently put the contract out to bid and that past renewals had been negotiated directly. Brooks said she would meet with AMR’s business development staff and return in one to two weeks with a proposal and any suggested contract changes.
Commissioners and staff agreed to schedule a follow-up agenda slot in March for a formal presentation and to circulate the existing contract and amendments for review. No formal county action, timeline or RFP decision was adopted during the meeting.
