In separate action, the council reappointed Mayor Mary Thier as chair of the Diversity Inclusion Task Force (DITF) and Tina Packaday as vice chair for one‑year terms, consistent with the task force bylaws. Town staff reminded the council that, per the DITF bylaws, the chair should be a member of the council while the vice chair need not be.
