Commissioners asked for more detail on the percentage of completion and whether construction has been continuous; the representative replied that work has been active and is expected to resume in earnest with improved weather.
Planning staff and the board discussed bonding as an alternative mechanism (bonding would allow final platting while work is guaranteed by bond), but the applicant said bonding costs were not economically sensible until the infrastructure work is closer to finished. After public comment (no objections recorded), the board voted to approve the requested extension to Jan. 23, 2027.
