Catherine Ewing, ASM Global representative, told the Andover City Council that ASM has confirmed several shows for 2025 and is moving forward with a chair purchase the company is funding that will be delivered to the city for use at the Capital Federal Amphitheater.
The update, delivered by Catherine Ewing and AJ Bileski of ASM Global, said three concerts — Blues Traveler with Gin Blossoms and the Spin Doctors, 3 Dog Night with Little River Band, and Chris Young — are on the calendar, with additional announcements planned. "We have another concert confirmed, with a date to be announced with AEG," Ewing said. She also listed four KEYN summer dates and community events such as Burger Battle.
Ewing said ASM Global has placed the order for chairs and chair carts; "The chairs, that are coming to us have a second bar added to them to allow them not to sink into any wet turf," she said, noting delivery timelines that aim to have part of the order in place by May to meet early-season events. She said the company will deliver chair carts in April and expects at least half of the chairs to arrive by May.
On staffing, Ewing said Amanda Smith has joined ASM, splitting time with the Orpheum until that venue completes renovations; Smith will transition to the amphitheater full time afterward. ASM also confirmed event operations details: premium patio seating priced at $125 (ticket, parking, meal, two drink tickets and private restrooms); paid parking ($15 pre-sold, $20 on-site); use of food trucks while lodge construction continues; continued beverage sales; Best Security for private security with full-time officers supplementing as required; and a Butler County EMS ambulance to be on-site for ASM events.
The council asked about ticket sales; Ewing gave early numbers for premium patio tickets — 64 sold for Blues Traveler and 55 for 3 Dog Night/Little River Band — and said most sales will occur closer to event dates. She said most announced concerts will be half-house except for 3 Dog Night.
Why it matters: the amphitheater is a major seasonal venue for Andover events and concerts. The chair purchase, staffing additions and confirmed acts affect budget planning, operations and community use of Andover Central Park.
Looking ahead: ASM will continue announcing dates and working with city staff and contractors as lodge construction progresses and additional operational details are finalized.
