Council names representative to Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation

The Dickinson City Council designated a representative to the Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation (SETX).

Council members discussed whether the city had previously sent a representative and whether the seat had to be held by an elected official. After brief discussion about meeting frequency and term length, Councilmember Sean Holt volunteered to serve and the council approved his designation; council asked staff to relay the term length to the corporation (the council may set a one-, two- or three-year term).
