The Balch Springs City Council approved a $1,000 sponsorship from the council general fund to support the Leadership Southwest Distinguished Leadership and Graduation Luncheon.

Councilmember Miles introduced the request and said the sponsorship supports marketing and regional outreach for the city. The council voted in favor; the mayor noted the invitation is extended to council and that a table for eight is available. The item was placed on the consent/individual calendar and passed with recorded “yes” votes from the council members present.

No additional conditions or budget transfers were recorded at the meeting; staff said the sponsorship request was in the meeting packet.
