The Tehachapi City Council unanimously reappointed Mary Anne Paciello to the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District board to a four-year term expiring Feb. 2, 2029. Paciello was the sole applicant and addressed the council, noting she had served four years and served recently as board chair.
Council members praised her volunteer service. The council opened nominations and, after a voice nomination, approved the appointment with recorded yes votes from council members Chung, Davies, Smith and Mayor Pro Tem Powell.
Paciello thanked the council and said she would excuse herself after the meeting to attend another volunteer obligation.
