Commission welcomes new assistant human resources director

Staff introduced Grant Leggett II as Montebello's new assistant human resources director during the Oct. 28 Civil Service Commission meeting. The presenter said Leggett started his second week with the city and previously worked for Vista Unified School District as director of classified human resources.

Commissioners and staff welcomed Leggett. One commissioner asked whether the commute from his previous job in Vista was long; the presenter answered that this position is closer. No formal action was taken; the item was an informational staff communication.

The introduction was brief and intended to familiarize commissioners with the new HR leader ahead of upcoming personnel and recruitment work.
