County staff to present CCAP MOU extension for ratification; vote expected at next meeting

County staff discussed extending the memorandum of understanding (MOU) that governs local administration of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) on Jan. 6 and said the extension would remove a requirement for annual reaffirmation.
"This is a CCAP, MOU, which is really extending the term of the first MOU. And then it's gonna try to eliminate the requirement of an annual reaffirmation," said Kelly (county staff), who presented the item. Kelly said recent legislation and audit findings prompted the state and local offices to request an extension and a reduction in paperwork.
Kelly said the county attorney (Mister Tarnerski) "reviewed it, said it the most basic MOU he's ever seen." She told commissioners the finalized MOU will be delivered via DocuSign following approval: when asked "Is this something that will come in DocuSign after its approval?" Kelly replied "Yes." She also said she would "get that out this week... I'll let them know that you will vote on it tomorrow."
No formal vote occurred during the workshop; staff said the board will act on the MOU at the next meeting. Specific changes to MOU language other than removing the annual reaffirmation requirement were not specified in the discussion.
