Madison County names Valley Automation and Riddleberger Brothers as preapproved vendors for electrical, plumbing and HVAC services

Madison County staff recommended and the Board of Supervisors approved naming Valley Automation as the county’s preapproved vendor for electrical services and Riddleberger Brothers for plumbing and HVAC work.

Brian said the RFP process ran several months and was vetted by staff including Mooney, Jennifer and Jonathan. Valley Automation was recommended for electrical work; staff noted the company has a deep bench and can provide engineering and SCADA services in the future. Riddleberger Brothers was recommended for plumbing and HVAC work; the county has used Riddleberger for HVAC work previously.

Board members asked whether the county would pay a retainer. Staff said the contracts are not retainer agreements and the county will pay vendors as work is performed. A motion to award the electrical RFP to Valley Automation and the plumbing and HVAC RFP to Riddleberger Brothers was seconded and approved by voice vote.
