Bronx businesses must sign new commercial-waste contracts or be assigned a carter, DSNY says

Juan Saldana of the New York City Department of Sanitation told Community Board 11 on Oct. 23 that a new commercial waste zone program is in effect for the Bronx and that affected businesses must sign new contracts with an authorized private carter.
"As of 10/01/2025, all businesses in the Bronx zone . . . will be required to sign a new contract with a private carter authorized to work in your zone," Saldana said, and he told board members the department will assign a carter for any business that does not select one by Nov. 30.
