The Troy City Council on Oct. 6 voted unanimously to approve several mayoral nominations, to accept the entire consent agenda and to carry a bid‑waiver contract for the Troy Public Library catalog upgrade.
Nominations approved: Kenny Coza and Daniel McLeish were renominated as in‑district members of the Troy Downtown Development Authority for terms expiring Sept. 30, 2029. The council also approved nominations to the Global Trade Advisory Committee: Michelle Haight (term expiring Oct. 30, 2026) and Edward Cheswick, Daniela Nocheva, Carolina Noguez Ortiz and Yudong Zhou (terms expiring Oct. 30, 2028). The chair moved the nominations; Councilmember Hamilton and Councilmember Hodrick supported the respective motions. The council recorded unanimous "yes" votes.
The council approved the consent agenda as printed in the agenda packet on a unanimous vote after a motion by Councilmember Hamilton and support from Councilmember Chamberlain.
Separately, as reported in another item on the agenda (I4), the council approved a bid‑waiver and three‑year contract to upgrade the Troy Public Library catalog to Vega Discover and to implement Polaris SMS; that motion was moved by Councilmember Hodrick and supported by Councilmember Chanda and carried unanimously.
The meeting record shows there were no public hearings, no certificates of recognition or special presentations, and no closed‑session requests on the Oct. 6 agenda.
