Dr. Bailey said the metrics were synthesized from retreat discussions and feedback from community partners and board members, and that they focus on work within the board’s jurisdiction while recognizing broader partnerships with the Department of Education and other bodies. "They by no means reflect all of the work that PELSB is doing," Dr. Bailey said.
Board members asked about implementation and reporting cadence. Dr. Stumpf asked whether the metrics would be reviewed all at once or integrated throughout the year when relevant agenda items arise; Dr. Bailey and others said staff intends an annual check‑in and to link items as they come up throughout the year so board members can see how specific agenda items align with the stated goals.
Board members thanked staff for retreat work and stakeholder conversations and indicated no immediate revisions were necessary; staff will proceed with the metrics as presented unless the board requests additional changes in coming weeks.
