TUALATIN, Ore. — The Foundation for Tigard‑Tualatin Schools presented its annual report to the city council Dec. 9, outlining grant programs, fundraising activities and recent impacts in the Tualatin schools.
Marjorie (Margie) Green, executive director, and Kate Manelas, board president, told council the foundation partners with all 17 schools in the Tigard‑Tualatin School District and funds programs not covered by state education funding. Green said the foundation’s programs include school grants, Art in the Burbs grants, post‑secondary scholarships (including trade‑school support), innovative teaching grants, and a food‑pantry effort launched during the pandemic.
