Commission recommends approval of Krueger certified survey map for Sheltering Oaks Campground in ETJ

The East Troy Plan Commission recommended that the Village Board approve a certified survey map (CSM) submitted for properties associated with Sheltering Oaks Campground at 1591 Sawyer Lane in the village’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Staff said the CSM, prepared by Lynch Engineering for applicant Ron Krueger with agent Tom Jurisinki, is being used to convey an adjacent parcel to the campground so the campground can meet updated Walworth County setback standards for recreational facilities. Village staff noted the commission’s review is part of the ETJ review process; the document also requires county and town approvals per state statute.
Staff said the parcel is zoned by the county as B-5 (planned commercial recreational business district) and that the CSM appears to meet the site-use and zoning requirements subject to the usual staff and engineering conditions in the packet. Commissioners voted to recommend Village Board approval, subject to the conditions in the staff report, and to confirm any reimbursement agreements and county recording as required.
Ending: The CSM will proceed to the Village Board and then to the county/town for remaining approvals and recording.
