St. Joseph council approves rezoning at 3909 South 40th Terrace for proposed hotel after brief public hearing

I represent the Gasche family who is asking for their property next to San Jose and Dairy Queen be rezoned with the purpose of constructing another new hotel in St. Joseph,” Ray Sisson said during the hearing. The clerk then closed the public hearing after noting no further speakers.
After the public hearing ended, council members cast their votes. The ordinance passed by a 9-0 vote; the chair announced, “Nine ayes. The motion carries.” The record shows the rezoning was requested by David Goetch; the ordinance was entered for first reading and the supporting Code chapters were made part of the record.
