Construction update: CTE addition on track, turf installed at fields, warranty walk set for March 10

District construction staff reported progress on multiple bond projects and site work and said schedules currently aim for summer completion milestones.

CTE building and central work

The CTE addition is receiving temporary heat; contractors plan to pour the second‑floor concrete when weather allows, then erect walls on the first floor with a target substantial completion date of July 30. Project contingencies remain intact, and change events discussed with district administration have been absorbed to date.

Fields and athletic work

Crews have installed most of the turf at the athletic fields and have begun delivering infill material (sand and rubber). Concession roofs and dugout roofs are in place; contractors will pour slab inside the concession stand and proceed with site concrete when temperatures permit. District staff said bleacher installation is scheduled for early April, weather dependent.

Central, middle and cafeteria projects

The district has scheduled a combined warranty walk for March 10 covering three projects (middle school, Central Elementary and cafeteria work). The walk aims to identify items to address during spring break without changing the warranty dates for each project.

Why it matters: these projects are funded through bond proceeds and other district capital budgets; schedule and contingency positions affect timing for final occupancy and athletic seasons.
