Paulding County announces private developer will build 35–40 hangars at county airport

Shatner provided a timeline and financing details: LH Construction Group has "put the deposit down on the steel package," the firm expects the steel to arrive in December, plans to start dirt work in November, and aims to have the hangars ready by summer or fall 2026 "provided the weather and all the other stars line up." He said there is no cost to the airport authority or to taxpayers because LH Construction Group is fronting construction costs.
Shatner outlined the expected benefits: a steady revenue stream to the airport from land-lease payments and fuel sales, and additional ad valorem tax revenue to the county from aircraft and the new buildings. He also described the local demand for hangars: "there's a huge hangar shortage in Georgia and across The United States," and said about 40 pilots have been on the airport waiting list.
