Council names More Than Medicine Health Care as Forest Park business of the month

The Forest Park City Council recognized More Than Medicine Health Care as the citys September business of the month at its Oct. 6 meeting.
"More than medicine is unique to me because, first off, I started, opened this practice in Forest Park because I used to live out here," said Roshanna Lindsey, the practices founder, during a brief presentation. Lindsey said the independent primary-care clinic recently expanded with two family nurse practitioners and added urgent care, weekend and evening hours.
Chris Lewis, assistant economic development director, presented the plaque and noted the value of locally owned independent primary-care providers. "Independent primary care facilities like this are increasingly rare, and we're lucky to have one in our community because that independence is exactly what gives them the freedom to focus on people, not profits," Lewis said.
The council and city staff posed for a plaque photo; no formal action beyond the recognition was taken.
