Justin O’Brien, the city’s budget manager, said, “Budget augmentation is something that we present to council every year as required by NRS. It includes any increase to the adopted budget previously approved by council and is offset with any increases in revenues or fund balance.” The council voted to approve the resolution after a public hearing; no public commenters were recorded on the item and the motion passed on the record.
