Procurement staff told the board the county’s evaluation team found discrepancies between addendum language about flooring and what bidders submitted. "It is the recommendation of the evaluation group to reject all the bids submitted for bid 25008 and rebid this project," said Bob Perkins of city-county procurement, reading the evaluation team's letter dated Dec. 10, 2024. Commissioners then moved and approved the rejection and rebid without further discussion.
Why it matters: rejecting bids delays the remodel schedule and requires staff to issue a new solicitation; the county cited specification discrepancies as the basis for the rejection rather than bidder pricing or qualifications.
