The recommendation follows a staff presentation and a continued public hearing that opened at 6:04 p.m. and closed at 6:05 p.m.; no members of the public signed up to speak on the item. If the City Council follows the commission's recommendation, the item is scheduled for first reading Nov. 4 and a second reading Nov. 18, with an effective date expected by the end of the year.
Principal planner Adam Zack told commissioners the purpose of the meeting was "to complete the public hearing and get arrive at your recommendation, for the draft code amendments for this omnibus legislation, for streamlining regulations and, housing development."
