Charles Paloma, speaking during public comment, said the thread included “disgusting, explicit messages” about his wife and that their children had seen the material. “No child should ever have to experience that,” he told the board.
Paloma, who told the board she has filed a protective order, said she no longer felt safe attending public meetings without extra protections. “I no longer feel safe serving as a public elected official in this town,” she said. She said she had emailed the superintendent and the board with a copy of a court protective order and asked that the district enforce its civility and safety policy.
