The Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals approved a 12-month extension of the deadline for Adeline Drive LLC to obtain a building permit tied to BZA decision 6554 for property at 198 Adeline Drive, Westminster.
The board read a September 30, 2025 letter from Stephanie R. Brophy requesting the extension on behalf of Adeline Drive LLC, citing unforeseen circumstances and the need to marshal additional resources to complete preparations for the permit application. The letter included an affidavit from Gregory Brock, principal of Adeline Drive LLC, elaborating on the delay.
Board members said they saw no problem granting a first extension. A motion to approve a 12-month extension passed on a voice vote. The board recorded that this was the first extension request for the case. The oral approval will be followed by a written decision issued within 30 days; the board noted appeal procedures to the Circuit Court for Carroll County.
