The Zoning Board of Appeals renewed an off-street parking variance for a proposed house at 205 Blackheath Road in Lido Beach, approving a continuation of variance number 3382 so the applicant can proceed with previously approved plans.
Steven Shafer appeared on behalf of his wife, the property owner, and said the original variance had expired because work did not proceed in time. Shafer told the board the architect’s earlier issues have been resolved and that nothing in the proposal has changed from the prior approval. No members of the public spoke against the renewal.
Commissioner Michelle Verrado introduced a motion to grant the renewal and Commissioner Markowitz seconded. The board voted to grant the renewal; the applicant may pursue the construction under the renewed variance and standard building-department review.
