Huron board approves updates to district strategic plan after June review

The Huron School District Board of Education approved updates to the district strategic plan after discussing recommended adjustments at its June meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Steinhoff told the board trustees reviewed the plan page by page at the second June meeting and forwarded a set of changes that are included in the updated document. He said two items suggested for inclusion in board goals rather than the strategic plan were circulated to members and that a broader resurvey with consultant Tom Oster may prompt larger changes in coming years.
A motion to approve the updates carried by voice vote at the July 14 meeting. The superintendent said the approved changes reflect the board’s recent discussions and that the plan may be refined further during the next multi-year update cycle.
