119 East Kingfish shows construction progress; meter and sewer connection remain before CO

At the May 7 Substandard Structure Review Board meeting, the building official reported that the property at 119 East Kingfish has made notable progress but still requires an electrical service meter and a sewer tap connection before a certificate of occupancy (CO) can be issued.
Filiberto Alba said the exterior work is largely finished and that the last completed inspection was the Sheetrock inspection on May 8. He told the board that "electrical service, which is meter box and main disconnect to give power to the house," and the sewer connection to the street remain outstanding; once those are completed, staff can inspect interior work and finish the CO process.
A representative for the owner, Julian Lodeo, said he was speaking for the property owner (Mr. Maldonado, who emailed the board to report he could not attend the meeting) and that the property is "coming along". Lodeo said the owner expects the electrical meter to be installed in about three weeks.
Board members asked staff whether a CO inspection for a house of this size could take months; Alba said a CO for a house that large "may take 3 or 4 months easily." Given the owner's reported progress and the owner's written update, the board recommended no action at the May 7 meeting.
No new enforcement orders were issued.
