The Flower Mound Community Development Corporation voted unanimously Tuesday to approve use of 4B sales-tax revenues for a slate of parks and trails projects and to increase funding for playground replacements by $130,000.
The board approved a fiscal year 2025–26 capital improvement plan amendment to pay for park and trail operation and maintenance, park and trail amenities, debt service for Twin Coves (Twin Coast) Park, Amy Lane Pond improvements, Colony Park work, the parks and recreation master plan update, Post Oak Park improvements, Charter Park improvements and Trails Master Plan implementation using 4B funds. The board also approved a separate amendment to add $130,000 to the current year’s playground-replacement budget to allow synthetic-turf surfacing at the North Shore Park playground.
