Glynn County opens bids for IFB 26-015 Blythe Island drainage project

Glynn County procurement staff publicly opened bids for IFB 26-015, the Blythe Island Drainage Construction Project (Cameron Place), in a streamed bid-opening event during which the county recorded three offers. Procurement analyst Nikki Thompson announced the bids and outlined the county's review process.
"This is the bid opening for IFB '26 dash 015 Blythe Island Drainage Construction Project Cameron Place," Thompson said, identifying herself as the procurement analyst for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners. She said the board "reserves the right to waive technicalities and make an award in the best interest of Glynn County." Thompson noted that all paperwork will be reviewed by her and the project manager for accuracy and completion.
The county received three bids: Rees Construction Company of Savannah, Georgia, submitted $635,936.32; Triscapes LLC (listed in the transcript as "Upcoming, Georgia") submitted $351,778.07; and Underground Excavating Incorporated of Paterson, Georgia submitted $484,750.00. Thompson said a bid tabulation sheet would be posted to the county website as soon as it is available and encouraged bidders to sign up for notifications on the county site.
Thompson described the next steps: procurement staff and the project manager will review the bids for responsiveness and accuracy, after which the county will post a tabulation online. The recommended award will then be presented to the Finance Committee and later to the full Board of Commissioners at the next scheduled monthly meeting.
