Constance Dressler, an East Troy resident, urged the Village Board to change a flashing-yellow left-turn signal at a state highway intersection after a string of collisions.
Dressler told the board she was in a crash Oct. 16 at the intersection in question and that she was aware of six prior accidents near the same flashing-yellow left-turn signal. She asked the village to replace the flashing yellow left with a protected green‑then‑red sequence to give drivers a safer left-turn interval, and she said increased local housing density made the change more urgent.
A board member and staff responded that the intersection involves a county road and State Highway 20 and that the village would need to coordinate with county and state authorities to pursue a signal change.
