County seeking landfill proposals; facilities passed inspection, director says

At the Oct. 29 Beaver County Board of Commissioners work session, Becca Ednaebor, the county’s director of sustainability and waste management, told commissioners she had not yet received any submissions for a solicitation to provide landfill capacity and solid‑waste services. She said proposals are due Nov. 7 and noted that existing contracts expire in June 2026.
Ednaebor also reported that recent facilities inspections showed no violations and that departments passed inspections. She urged interested parties to submit proposals by the deadline so county staff can review options and ensure continuity of solid‑waste services.
No procurement decisions were made at the work session; staff will accept proposals and return recommendations for the board’s consideration.
