Norfolk County approves multiple personnel changes, promotions and payroll/expense warrants

The Norfolk County Commission on Oct. 15 approved multiple personnel actions at the Norfolk County Agricultural High School and other county offices and ratified payroll and expense warrants.

Personnel approvals included a notice-of-position change for Thomas Lombardi as a cafeteria worker at the agricultural high school (effective Oct. 16, 2025), a rate change approval for long-term substitute instructor Frederick Bernhardt (effective Oct. 15, 2025), and changes from flat-rate to group-step pay for Stephen Mayor and Sarah Hinckley (the latter effective Sept. 12, 2025). The commission also approved a promotion at the Registry of Deeds for Anna Maria Pito to second assistant register (effective Nov. 3, 2025) and recorded a leave of absence under policy (effective Sept. 25, 2025). All personnel motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.

The board also approved payroll and expense warrants. Commissioners moved and approved: county payroll warrant (Warrant 2615) in the amount of $149,929.28; school payroll warrant (26158) in the amount of $410,134.80; county expense warrant (10/326) in the amount of $1,146,373.41; and school expense warrant (2026-04A) in the amount of $144,426.16. Each warrant motion was moved, seconded and approved on voice vote.

The meeting record shows motions were made and seconded for each item and commissioners responded "Aye" when asked for a vote. The meeting transcript does not include a roll-call tally with individual names for each vote; the clerk recorded the motions and the chair declared each motion approved.
