Boyertown Area SD committee reviews $99,545 senior high chiller repair and $57,007 rooftop fix

Boyertown Area School District facilities staff described two separate chiller repairs and asked the facilities committee to refer one item to the November legislative meeting for approval.

Director of Facilities Mr. Bramble told the committee Johnson Controls will remove the old motor from senior high chiller No. 2, either supply a new factory motor or rebuild the district’s motor, install new gaskets, pressure-test the chiller and perform a “dummy loading” startup. The district has a written quote for the work at $99,545, and staff said Johnson Controls agreed to hold that price.
