Council confirms three reappointments to planning, economic and human services boards

Liam McCorkle told council the city received multiple applicants for planning commission position 1 and recommended confirming incumbent Carla Lowe. Council Member Walker moved to confirm Carla Lowe to a four-year term starting Jan. 1, 2026; Council Member Fulcher seconded the motion and the council voted 6-0 to confirm Lowe.
Council Member Hanford moved to confirm Carl Linwell to the Economic Development Advisory Board position 3 for a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026; Council Member Scarborough seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
Hanford also moved to confirm Lucia Zammaron to Community Human Services Advisory Board position 2 for a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026; Council Member Beaumont seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
