The Tupelo City Council on Oct. 21 voted to find that using a request-for-proposal process is the most practical and advantageous procurement method for professional roadway mapping and a pavement condition survey.
Ben Logan explained that the finding allows staff to issue an RFP for roadway mapping and analysis to produce a pavement condition survey of the city's transportation system. The results are intended to support prioritization and management of road repairs, maintenance and capital planning.
The council moved and seconded the finding and approved it in open session. Staff said they would proceed to issue the RFP once the finding was entered into the record.
